Originally hailing from Eugene, Oregon, Bria Light spent over a decade working around the globe as an international educator before before getting her start as a journalist reporting at the local newspaper in Telluride, Colorado.
A recent graduate of UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, she is now fueling her creative vision and passion for stories through the medium of documentary film. Her previous work includes short films ranging in topics from musicians’ experience with synesthesia, the economic struggles of traditional potters in Rajasthan, India, and ICE abuses at a county jail in California.
When not working, you can find her playing bluegrass fiddle or trail running in the beautiful Bay Area.
